JYT (Just Your Type) is a five-member pop boy band, consisting of elite performers Caden Adamonis, Tyler George, Bryan Holden Chan, Recker Eans, and Toby Green.
JYT is a dynamic, high energy dance group with distinct vocal talent. The band was formed in 2025 through a unique artist-driven process, unlike the traditional label auditions. JYT formally signed to Republic Records and trained under world-class choreographer Nick DeMoura.
Formation and Development
Unlike traditional, label-manufactured groups, the members of JYT, aged 15-17, handpicked each other to ensure natural chemistry and friendship, a process facilitated by manager, songwriter, and producer Freddy Wexler. The organic bond and camaraderie among the members is key to the strength of JYT, creating synergy that supports the growth of the band members. Together, the members formed a natural brotherhood that is not only unique but also relatable and authentic.
The band underwent intensive training in Los Angeles, focusing on vocals and dancing, with choreography led by Nick DeMoura (known for work with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK). The group's formation and training highlight a strategic move to blend authentic, pre-existing bonds with high-level professional, K-pop-inspired training for the Western market.
Style
Their sound is described as modern, 2000s-influenced pop, with a focus on high-energy performance, aiming to become a new global pop phenomenon.
Debut
The group was officially introduced in early December 2025, with their debut single, "What U Want," released on December 5, 2025. JYT kicked off 2026 with their second single, "Say Less," released in January 2026, which was produced by Oak Felder and Freddy Wexler.
